Luca Pauwels (*2002, Ghent) is a Belgian photographer, studying at KASK School of Arts. Her work has a social character, often using portraits.

In her documentary work, she immerses herself in an environment or lifestyle previously unknown to her, in order to learn more about it. In the series, the images often perform a duel between a positive view of her subjects and a melancholic atmosphere that creeps in.

Whereas in her documentary work she seeks out situations unknown to her, in her conceptual work the photographer turns the camera toward herself and her own experiences.
